- It's not the modem that doesn't allow the 115.2k port speed, it's the
- hardware and software the modem has to work with, i.e. operating system,
- UART and many other factors. Not all combinations of hardware/software will
- work. And in a previous post to Mr. Kirby you claimed he shouldn't be
- telling *everyone* that the max realistic compression of v.42bis is 2.5:1
- (or around that) when transferring news. You then shouldn't tell *everyone*
- that "Any 28.8 should be able to function at a 115,200 settting if my 14.4
- does!" :)
