  37. It's not the modem that doesn't allow the 115.2k port speed, it's the
  38. hardware and software the modem has to work with, i.e. operating system,
  39. UART and many other factors.  Not all combinations of hardware/software will
  40. work.  And in a previous post to Mr. Kirby you claimed he shouldn't be
  41. telling *everyone* that the max realistic compression of v.42bis is 2.5:1
  42. (or around that) when transferring news.  You then shouldn't tell *everyone*
  43. that "Any 28.8 should be able to function at a 115,200 settting if my 14.4
  44. does!" :)
